Dear Susie,
Happy Easter! I hope you got a good night's sleep, because you're going to have a busy day today with church, egg hunting and Easter dinner. It's going to be so fun!
I'm relaxing now, because I'm pretty tired from hopping around delivering all those Easter eggs. I found some pretty tricky hiding places at your house this year, so be sure to look high and low.
The eggs you're hunting for today are hard-boiled; they're chicken eggs. As you know, Easter eggs don't hatch, but some eggs do and out comes a baby chick! It's a new life, just like Jesus gives his believers.
On Easter Sunday, we celebrate the day that Jesus rose from the dead-what Christians call the Resurrection. While you're having fun with your family today, please take a moment to remember the sacrifice Jesus made.
Enjoy your Easter basket! I had so much fun picking out the candy and little toys just for you. This is one day when it's definitely OK to eat more candy than usual.
